Versus

writeupsc vs ChatGPT for checking UPSC answers.

ChatGPT has no bank of UPSC answers that scored. It gives confident feedback from general knowledge, can change its verdict from one run to the next, and does not show a reference you can check. writeupsc reads your handwritten page, retrieves the closest real topper answers, marks seven criteria out of 5 against what those toppers did, and names changes with the booklet page to prove it. For Mains, that is the difference between an opinion and evidence.

Why not just ask ChatGPT?

Because it does not know. Ask it to mark the same answer twice and the scores can differ. Ask it what a topper wrote for that question and it cannot cite one. Ask it for a reference and there is none. It reads photographs of handwriting inconsistently and often misses the diagram. The feedback it does give is a rewrite in its own voice, which is the one thing that does not transfer to your next answer.

writeupsc was built for this one job. It reads every page, finds the closest real topper answers, marks seven criteria out of 5 against what those toppers did, and names the change with where to write it, what to write, and how many toppers did it. Every reference opens the booklet page. When it cannot find a close enough answer, it says so instead of inventing a number.

Where ChatGPT still fits

Before you write: brainstorming angles, or explaining a concept you did not follow. That is a study aid, not a checker. Once the answer is on paper, the question is whether it would score, and only a comparison with answers that did can tell you.

Questions

Can writeupsc replace ChatGPT?

For checking answers, yes. ChatGPT has no bank of answers that scored and shows no reference; keep it for brainstorming before you write.

Is the writeupsc score reliable?

It is an estimate for practice, shown as a range in marks with the criteria behind it and the topper answers it was compared against. No tool can promise the examiner’s number.

What does writeupsc cost?
